Boeing 377 Stratocruiser Pan Am (Hobby Master)

The Stratocruiser, as this Boeing 377 was also called, was a two deck trans-oceanic airliner. Operating in the late 1940s and early 1950s, this propeller aircraft was ahead of its time. Due to rather unreliable engines this Boeing design was never a large success and less than 60 were ever built.

This 1/200 scale model is made by Hobby Master. Constructed out of a die-cast and plastic mix, it sports some good weight and a nice thin empennage. The model can be displayed with or without extended landing gear – a nice touch!
